I'm ambitious and goal focused by nature. Left unchecked these usually positive traits leave me burnt out and dissatisfied. At 26 I had completed a Bachelors with Honours in Civil Engineering, a Master’s in Engineering Management, a Pilates Certification, a Yoga Certification, and numerous Myofascial Release Certifications.
I had experienced the corporate world burn out working full time as a structural engineer. I had experienced the hippie side of life teaching Yoga and Pilates full time. I had even successfully combined the two to create what I believed was the optimal balance.

Then at 27 I found myself embarking on my next full on career, being a Mum! My midwife introduced me to Essential Oils when routine tests repeatedly showed my immune system was battling. One sniff and I was hooked! Essential Oils now feature in all aspects of my life along side Yoga Pilates and Myofascial Release.

My journey so far has taught me that genuine success, control, and strength, comes only as a result of a life lived in balance.

I am so excited to be able to share with you that you don’t have to live your life battling one obstacle after another. Yoga, Pilates, Myofascial Stimulation and Essential Oils can be used strategically to create balance in our lives.

We can do anything, achieve anything we dream of.  We don’t need to feel stressed or burnt out.

We can have a full life, well lived.

Julia's Qualifications

Polestar Pilates
Over the course of a year I studied towards the Polestar Pilates Mat Certification. This course involved three weekend long Mat Courses, daily self practice, regular sessions with a certified mentor, supervised teaching and an exam. This course taught me the building blocks of movement through the full repertoire of Pilates exercises as executed in their pure form on the mat.

Samyak Yoga
I traveled to Northern India to complete a 200 Hour YTTC  in Ashtanga Yoga at Samyak Yoga. This course was an Intensive Yoga Training in which practitioners are completely immersed in Ashtanga Yoga Practice.

Myofascial Release Therapy
I Learnt Myofascial Release Therapy from one of New Zealand's most passionate experts Beth Beauchamp. Fascia creates the form and structure of the body, influences all physiological functioning and is our storage unit for memories and belief systems.

Art of Motion Training in Movement
I traveled to Bali to complete Myofascial Training. This modern movement curriculum builds on the knowledge and beliefs of certified movement teachers with new Myofascial training tools.

NZ Register of Exercise Professionals 
I am a REPs Registered Exercise Professional. Using a REPs registered trainer ensures that your trainer follows industry best practice guidelines, meets all education requirements, continues to up-skill, and are bound by a code of ethics.


Continence NZ Pelvic Floor Safe Fitness Instructor
I am a Continence NZ Registered Pelvic Floor Safe Fitness Instructor. Choosing a Continence NZ registered trainer ensures they have the skills to keep your pelvic floor safe while you exercise. This is especially important for pre and post partum women.
